The DND Photography Contest began in 1968, and has grown to a major annual event with upwards of 2000 entries each year, from hundreds of photographers in the defence community.
"The purpose of the contest is to encourage the creation of imagery which depicts the many aspects of life in the military; and to recognize those members of the military community who have attained a level of excellence in the art of photography."
